EndNote Workshop: learn how to compile your own bibliographic database
Do more with your search results and make your life easier with EndNote software. EndNote can be used to create personal bibliographic databases. EndNote also enables you to save your search results easily. You can import data from the online catalogue and the many bibliographic databases provided by TU Delft Library.
Cite while you write
EndNote has a plug-in available for Microsoft Word, which can perform the following actions easily and without you having to do any typing:
- find citations
- keep a record of your personal bibliography
- add/remove information to/from citations
- add citations and literature lists to a document in the correct format (for publications and course descriptions, for example)
This is known as ‘cite while you write’. You can find out how to download and use EndNote on the TUlib website.
During the workshop
During the workshop, you will create a file yourself in which you can cite references directly.

Workshop Endnote: learn how to make your personal bibliographic database
Doe meer met uw zoekresultaten en maak het uzelf makkelijker met het softwarepakket Endnote. EndNote kan worden gebruikt om persoonlijke bibliografische databases aan te maken. Met EndNote slaat u eenvoudig uw zoekresultaten op. U kunt ze ook importeren vanuit de online catalogus en de vele bibliografische databases die TU Delft Library aanbiedt.
Cite while you write
EndNote heeft een plug-in beschikbaar voor Microsoft Word, waarmee u eenvoudig en zonder typewerk
- citaties vindt
- uw persoonlijke literatuurlijst bijhoudt
- informatie bij citaties verwijdert of toevoegt
- citaties en literatuurlijsten in het juiste format aan een document toevoegt (bijvoorbeeld voor publicaties en vakbeschrijvingen)
Dit wordt ook wel ‘cite while you write’ genoemd. Op de TUlib website leest u hoe u Endnote downloadt en gebruikt.
Tijdens de workshop
In de workshop maakt u zelf een bestand waarin u referenties direct kunt citeren.
