Teachers no longer have to provide students with photocopies of articles and students will become more familiar with TU Delft's online resources. It is important that you use the correct links to online resources. Below, you will find instructions on how to create links to databases, electronic articles and e-books. Please contact the library if you need any further assistance. Creating links to databases To create a link to one of the TU Delft Library's databases, locate the relevant database on the Databases page on the library's website. Next, view the properties of the link by using the right-mouse click. Finally, copy the database's URL and paste it into Blackboard. Using DOIs to create links to electronic articles DOIs (digital object identifiers) are unique identifying numbers, that can be used to create links to electronic documents. Unlike URLs, DOIs do not change overtime, so they are the prefered way of creating links to electronic articles in Blackboard. You can usually find an article's DOI with its citation details. To create a link using a DOI, type "http://dx.doi.org/" followed by the DOI. For example, to link to an electronic article with the DOI 10.1016/j.enpol.2007.04.015, use the following URL: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.enpol.2007.04.015. You should always provide the full citation for an electronic article along with the link and make sure that you can access the full-text. Creating links to e-books You can access e-books either through the TU Delft Library catalogue or directly through the provider's platforms. The TU Delft Library currently offers access to e-books on the following four platforms: CRC press, Knovel, NetLibrary and Springer. Below are instructions for how to create a link in Blackboard to a specific e-book for each platform.
